Speedbox re-takes the South Island

Its been three long years since we last drove the speedbox van down south. The good people at Eastern States Speedway in Blenheim are hosting the NZ Stockcar Champs and they have decided to put it live on the internet so those fans out there that can't make the trip will still be able to watch it.

We spent the day at the track today establishing our satellite internet uplink. It's a great looking track and the people down here are so friendly and helpfull. I really can't talk them up enough.

Its going to be a stockcar meeting not to miss. An estimated 150 cars battleing it out in five groups over fifteen races to qualify for the finals. The weather is looking good for race day so fingers crossed that is how it pans out.

We are staying in Havelock in a grade 1 Historic building. With our crew growing to 9 for the race days we need alot of beds and we do try to enjoy ourselves along the way, amd its cheeper than a motle for that many people so we are stoked.

We have been wanting to have a go at live streaming stockcars for a while. The Superstocks are getting good numbers these days and with maybe three times as many Stockcars in the country I am hopeful that the class has just as many or maybe more hard core fans. Time will tell I guess.
